Ang is studying Accountancy and Finance MA at Edinburgh Business School. 

What appealed to you most about Heriot-Watt University?

When I decided to study abroad, I read information about lots of universities and I was instantly attracted to Heriot-Watt. The prospectus mentioned that the main campus is located in Edinburgh which offers stunning scenery as well as a rich cultural heritage. The Admissions Manager visited my university to talk with us about the degree programmes offered by the School. I also sought advice from upperclassmen – they were all impressed by the good academic atmosphere on the Edinburgh campus. Due to this and also the Accountancy and Finance degree suiting my major orientation I applied to study at Heriot-Watt without hesitation.

Are you glad that you decided to study at Heriot-Watt?

My two years at Heriot-Watt have shown that my decision was a good one! By sharing academic and social life with students from other countries, we can get better understandings about other cultures and build friendships that stretch across the globe. After studying Accountancy and Finance at Heriot-Watt it is possible to get exemptions for some tests of ACCA which is beneficial for our future career. It is worth mentioning that nearly 100% of students in Accountancy and Finance here at Heriot-Watt agreed that the staff are good at explaining things and the ranking continues to rise in recent years.
