I chose to study Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at Heriot-Watt because it is a well-respected course and combined both theoretical and practical classes to provide the best learning experience for me.
What aspects of the course did you most enjoy?
I enjoyed a number of projects that we completed throughout the years which give a flavour of a real-life engineering project.
In what way has your degree helped you on your career path?
Not only has my degree helped me gain the knowledge required for my daily job but it has provided me with the confidence to be able to present my ideas to others, feel comfortable to ask others for help and to work well with others to complete projects with a tight deadline.
What would you say to a prospective student considering Heriot-Watt University?
I think that the courses at Heriot-Watt are excellent. They provide a lot of project work and contact with industry which is not common at all other universities. They also benefit from a range of interesting research to allow lecturers to share their work and experience with students.
