College qualifications
We believe that finding the right route into university, and at the right year of entry, is very important. Our widening access team are here to help you find the right route for you. Find out how we can help you.
Undergraduate programmes
A lot of our students use a qualification such as a HNC or HND to get into university every year. We have several partnership agreements (called articulation agreements) with local colleges in specific subjects which means that students can get advanced entry into years two or three. Be aware that some have specific modules that you have to study as part of your college course.
You can find out more about the agreements we have with local colleges on the ‘Pathways' website.
It's also possible to get advanced entry to our degree programmes from colleges we don't have agreements with. If you don't see your college or course on the Pathways website get in touch with our widening access team and we can let you know what routes are open to you – wp@hw.ac.uk.
Postgraduate programmes
It might be possible to get entry directly into some of our postgraduate programmes with a college qualification, in combination with relevant experience, for example: -
- HND plus 4 years of relevant post qualification experience
- HNC plus 6 years of relevant post qualification experience
If you don’t have a HNC or HND, but have at least 8 years relevant experience at a suitable level we may also be able to consider you.
If you think you have relevant work experience that would help you get into a degree course, then get in touch with our admissions team to find out more - studywithus@hw.ac.uk. Each application is considered individually with ability, experience and potential taken into consideration.
