Farhad Waseel, a Postgraduate Research Student of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS), has recently won the Best Paper Award at the 11th IEEE Conference on Systems, Process, and Control (ICSPC2023) held on 16 December 2023. Farhad's winning research titled "Bayesian inference for high-dimensional ODE models with time-varying parameters via relaxation" was supported by the James Watt Scholarship. This scholarship offers a transformative opportunity for prospective PhD students to tackle the world's most critical challenges.
