Our Malaysia campus was established in 2012 and since then, we have witnessed the remarkable development of our Go Global programme, which provides students with the opportunity to move seamlessly to study at any of our global campuses.

The first batch of Malaysian students transferred to Edinburgh in September 2015. Since then, Go Global has given over 1,000 students from our Malaysia campus access to continue their studies abroad at our campus in Edinburgh or Dubai, delivering significant cost savings to many families from the region.

Go Global is a fantastic programme that supports our ethos to build a global university that pioneers innovation in education, research and enterprise.

To celebrate the success of our Go Global programme, we recently awarded our 1000th Go Global Malaysian student, Fatin Fadzil, with a fee waiver for her semester two tuition fees at our Edinburgh campus.

Fatin, who is currently completing her MA in International Business Management, was delighted to be the lucky recipient, commenting, “Go Global is such an amazing programme in the sense that you can live in several different countries with different cultures. I would definitely recommend Go Global.”

Ruth Moir, Secretary of Heriot-Watt University and Board Director of Heriot-Watt Malaysia, commented on the importance of our global community: “Go Global is an amazing programme because we offer a large proportion of the same degree programmes in Edinburgh as we do in Dubai and Malaysia. It’s a really amazing programme.”
