On A-level results day, Heriot-Watt University is reminding students of the opportunities of studying in Scotland.
The University is offering a new £1500 travel bursary to all UK-based students outside of Scotland. This is paid automatically in three £500 instalments to aid with travel costs between home and campus, providing some welcome relief during the cost of living crisis.
In addition, flexible study options are available to students, as is the opportunity to study overseas at Heriot-Watt's campuses in Dubai and Malaysia through the Go Global programme. The University also recently launched its Global College, which provides supported pathways for students entering a career focussed degree. Students can complete their degrees in three years by entering directly into year 2 with the associated benefits of strengthening core understanding of a chosen path of study.

Lucy Everest, Heriot-Watt's Global Chief Operating Officer, says Scotland remains an attractive destination for RUK applicants.
“While most universities north of the border will have already met their cap for students in Scotland, there are spaces available for these same programmes for the rest of the UK,” she adds.
"Financial incentives are available to attract students who want to go further afield and consider studying at Scottish universities, which are already attractive to home based students because they don't pay fees.
“At Heriot-Watt, financial support is available for UK-based students outside of Scotland to help pay for their travel costs, which is a major boost during the cost-of-living crisis.”
