Pay gap information
We calculated our mean and median pay gap for gender, disability and ethnicity annually based on census date of 31 March each year.
In April 2021 we published Heriot-Watt University Pay Gap Information including Equal Pay Statement April 2021- March 2025 outlining detailed information about our pay gaps and an outline of actions to address the challenges. The work also informed Equality Outcome 1: Reduce the median gender pay gap.
In April 2023 published a midpoint update report including an update on our mean and median pay gaps across gender, disability and ethnicity. March 2022 figures are contained in the table below alongside the figures from March 2020.
