Bloomberg Suite

Our state-of-the-art Bloomberg Suite is home to 16 professional-standard Bloomberg Trading Terminals and students can enhance their employability in finance and investment management through curricular and extra-curricular learning opportunities.

Our Bloomberg Suite provides access to live financial data from global markets and organisations. Integrating the use of Bloomberg Terminals into our teaching develops professionally relevant skills in data analysis, financial reporting, financial risk management and financial modelling.

CFA Affiliation

We have become the latest university to have undergraduate degrees affiliated with the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. The undergraduate degree programs MA/BA Finance and MA/BA Business and Finance have been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the program. These degree programmes position students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter, which has become one of the most respected and recognised investment credentials in the world.

Investment Society

The student-run Investment Society gives all Heriot-Watt University students the opportunity to understand the complex world of finance. They host regular professional and social events and produce Capital House Magazine on financial and economic matters.
