About
Dr. Shereen Nassar is an Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She is an active academic with solid teaching experience across the UK and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Dr. Nassar is the global lead for logistics studies and is responsible for leading the MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management programmes for the Dubai campus and online.
She has published journal articles and book chapters in areas related to supply chain sustainability, digital technologies, and resilience. Dr. Nassar has developed strong ties with the business ecosystem, particularly in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Her external engagement and contribution to various industry forums in the MENA region have been widely recognized, earning her several academic and industry awards.

Qualifications:
Shereen is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). She obtained her PhD in 2012 from the School of Management, Bath University, UK. Her thesis focused on the role of advanced tracking technologies in enhancing supply chain visibility and sustainable competitive advantage.
Research
Shereen’s research endeavors and industry publications encompass a wide array of topics, including supply chain optimization, risk management and resilience, sustainability, and advanced digital business applications. She has published a number of research papers and book chapters in areas such as automotive recall risk, social sustainable supply chain performance, sustainable maritime logistics, supply chain information security, contemporary disruptive business applications of blockchain technology, and talent management in logistics
