About

Dr. Ramchandra Bhusal, PhD, CGMA, FHEA, is an Assistant Professor in Finance at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai. Specialising in entrepreneurial finance, financial innovation, and sustainable finance, he teaches finance programmes at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Previously, he served as Programme Leader and Lecturer at Queen Margaret University. His research focuses on sustainable finance, fintech and financial inclusion, SME financing, and accounting for sustainability. Dr. Bhusal is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Fellow with Advance HE.

Research

Ramchandra's core research interests include entrepreneurial finance, sustainable finance and fintech, fintech and access to finance(particularly forSMEs),and sustainability accounting. His current research project explores sustainable investing in SMEs on the path to net zero. Ramchandra is an active supervisor of undergraduate, and postgraduate dissertations and PhD thesis and welcomes any prospective PhD candidates to get in touch in the areas of his expertise.
