About

She is the Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences teaching Robotics in both UG and PG programmes. 

Biography

She received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University, Australia in 2002 and won the Lampard Medal and Prize for the best PhD thesis submitted to the Department. Professor Abudulaziz has worked in the past with Heriot Watt University, Dubai and the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She is also a member of IEEE.

Research

Professor Abdulaziz has over 80 articles published in reputable journals and international conferences. Her area of specialisations include machine learning, AI, and Robotics, and its applications in Biomedical and agriculture fields.

Publications

She has received several grants in projects related to antenna design, networks communications, ecopia farm, and the application of machine learning for MRI images for people with dementia. One major grant won was for the design of a hearing aid to mitigate hearing loss for people with dementia in collaboration with the university of Wollongong in Australia.
