The School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society has an inherently strong research culture with research students making a highly valued contribution to School's overall research profile.

The School is divided into six research Institutes:

PhD opportunities

We welcome applications for our current funded PhD opportunities with decisions being based on the experience and potential of the applicant and the fit of the research proposal to the School's multidisciplinary research portfolio.

Self-funded PhD study

We are always looking for first class researchers and we welcome applications from self, industry or other scholarship funded candidates.
