Campus closure and temporary transition to online learning
Following the latest announcement from the UAE authorities, online learning will continue from March 23 until Sunday, April 5 2026 (inclusive). The Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus will remain closed during this period, with all teaching and other services continuing online. With recent changes to assessments across several school boards in the Middle East, Heriot-Watt University Dubai will now assess all undergraduate applications based on verified school‑predicted grades for our September 2026 intake. To ensure a fair and consistent experience, we will consider a range of verified assessments, including mock exam results, pre-board assessments, and official teacher-predicted scores. Additionally, we are pleased to offer you flexibility in your choice of study location through our global campus network. Our unique Go Global programme provides students with the opportunity to begin their studies at another Heriot-Watt University campus in Malaysia or the UK and transition to Dubai at a later stage, if preferred.
