Why did you decide to study your PhD at Heriot-Watt University?
I wanted to develop as a reservoir engineer in a highly reputable world-class university, so when Heriot-Watt University offered me the opportunity to work on an interesting, industry-focused and collaborative project, it was an easy decision to sign up.
What was your experience of studying your PhD with the Carbonate Reservoirs group at Heriot-Watt University?
The Carbonate Reservoirs Group is an excellent hub for computational geoscience and engineering. I remained motivated during my PhD because my project was highly technical with a strong emphasis on application to the oil industry. I also enjoyed excellent supervision and very friendly interactions with colleagues in the group.
Can you tell us a bit about what you're currently doing?
I am a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London. My research focuses on using reservoir modelling and simulation to evaluate CO2 enhanced oil recovery and storage in the UK North Sea.
