What appealed to you most about Heriot-Watt University?
The Go Global programme allows students from each campus to experience different lifestyles and cultures of different countries. I personally appreciate the diversity in a university as we get to learn new things from different people. By studying at Heriot-Watt University, students are able to achieve a UK degree regardless of where it is completed at. Students are given this privilege as Heriot-Watt is distinguished as one of the top universities in the UK.
What tips would you give to a student thinking of studying at Heriot-Watt?
Be critical and creative on learning methods. Students are not able to fully gain knowledge simply by just reading on the surface of things. There's always room for growth in knowledge. Use research and provide evidences to strengthen existing knowledge of things. With this, students are able to apply their knowledge in the real world.
What did you enjoy the most about studying your degree?
Psychology and the study of human behaviour have always been my interest. By doing this degree, I am able to explore new things about human behaviour and simultaneously, discovering myself. It allows us to think outside of the box and not simply make mere judgements about other people.
Do you feel your degree has prepared you well for a career?
As of now, I feel that my degree programme is preparing me well for future endeavours and undertakings. By understanding and applying the things I gain from this module, I am able to put them to good use in the present and future.
How do you think your degree will impact on your career prospects?
I believe that my degree has exposed me to different methods of applying the modules that I am taking which leads to various career prospects. As psychology is about understanding human behaviour, I strongly believe that it is an essential tool in my career, especially in a social setting.
