Through its interdisciplinary culture, research in sustainable fisheries at the Lyell Centre encompasses a wide range of themes including fisheries conservation, marine technology, seafood production, marine biodiversity, bottom-trawling, and the effects of marine artificial structures on the ocean's wildlife and ecosystem functioning.

Working directly with industry bodies, regulators and fishers to understand, define and address challenges facing the sector, our researchers are driving advancements in fisheries technology and policy on a global scale.
