Wilson Hall

I propose ‘Wilson Hall’ to be developed into a retreat for children living in poverty across Ayrshire. Offering various indoor and outdoor activities to suit all needs as well as fun based learning, thus providing children with the tools to achieve a brighter future.

It is essential to teach the children life skills which ‘Wilson Hall’ will achieve. Also providing mental health support and counselling, to support children who are struggling with their home environment. To provide respite for children and parents is the main goal for this retreat. Due to the large farming connection ‘Wilson Hall’ has, and the rural surroundings, makes it an ideal setting for this proposal.

The main inspiration for the interior came from the natural beauty surrounding the building. The proposal brings the exterior woodland inside as a main feature, showing the symbolic growth this opportunity brings to families at Auchincruive Estate.
