HIGHLAND RAVE is ready to wear, season-less womenswear for unapologetically cool creatives inspired by Scottish culture and heritage and electronic dance music.

Traditional and subcultural words collide; HIGHLAND RAVE explores the Scottish identity in the digital age. Culturally significant garments the kilt and the trews are reworked and tartan print designs are created using AI, by recording patterns and movement made by sonic vibrations in music, and by the ‘Dress Act 1746’, a political Act of Parliament intended to suppress Highland culture and rebellion in Scotland by banning the wearing of traditional Highland attire.

Tartan print designs are digitally sublimated onto sheer mesh and polyester linen and combined with dead stock fabrics lace, leather and waxed cotton all locally sourced from Scottish textile manufacturers.
