Maisie Jackson

Maisie Jackson

I have been looking into slow fashion as a whole and how to contribute towards the reduction of fast fashion. When deciding what to do my honours project on, I noticed how scarce commercial reversible clothing was.

I decided to create a collection of reversible garments made for everyday wear for both men and women. This is a mixed seasonless collection offering streetstyle garments made from recycled or organic materials. I used a mixture of bleach treatments and different fabric textures to bring pattern to some of the features – this offers the wearer choice between a more commercial look or a bolder style.

Throughout this collection, I have found a great interest within sustainable fashion and finding new ways to work towards a slower way of consumption.
