The corporate world has been governed by traditional mindsets leading to a gap in the representation of women at various levels in the workforce from affecting the talent pipeline to leadership roles. This research aims to examine the status of women in the workforce through the lens of learning and development opportunities such as career accelerators. Examining the role of career accelerators in furthering the UN SDG Goal 5 - Gender Equality.
This study aims to look at the correlations between investing in learning and development opportunities for women and workplace culture. The research aims to define the resulting ecosystem this relationship creates for women through inclusive workplace policies and an emphasis on equality, diversity and inclusion. The objective of this study is to identify key trends in innovation in learning and development initiatives, considering areas of improvement in career advancement opportunities at all organisational levels beyond leadership roles.
