Cianalas

Cianalas presents a captivating collection of surface pattern fabrics, capturing the essence of Scottish landscapes and folklore. Infused with the spirit of playful illustration and rich Scottish heritage, this collection evokes feelings of belonging, nostalgia, and childlike joy.

Through sketchbook development I was able to create joyful illustrations which guided my project, whilst also exploring the fluidity of watercolours inspired by Scotland’s natural beauty. Utilising techniques such as screen print, digital print, and risograph printing, I was able to create a versatile range suitable for furnishings, fashion and ceramics.

By exploring tactile methods such as tufting, punch needling, and bonding, this collection radiates a spirited, playful energy whilst simultaneously evoking sentiments of nostalgia and belonging.
