Georgia Collins
An interior collection of sensory fabrics for sensory rooms or bedrooms, in the form of sensory wall décor, weighted blankets, sofa coverings and cushions – adaptable for the user and what they need.
The inspiration started with my own experience with ADHD and Dyslexia as a woman, and I then explored three main subtopics: a cello, asymmetrical and symmetrical buildings and text. I chose a cello because I used to play the cello, and I just love the instrument. I chose asymmetrical and symmetrical buildings to highlight the calm vs. chaotic sense ADHD can have, and I chose text because I am dyslexic.
I used a very wide range of colours to show that there is something for everyone, as we are all different. I primarily used cotton, due its softness in nature and nice feel on the skin, and a mix of worsted and boucle yarn to add contrast in texture.
