Feels like home

Derive from my photographic inspiration of the shores of the west coast of Scotland, I wanted to produce a collection of woven fabrics that could be used in cancer care facilities, such as Maggie’s Centres.

The visual theme was chosen because of the calm and natural feeling that the images evoke, and my wish to share with others through my fabrics. Cancer care is a topic that is close to me, as my wonderful Papa fought a long and hard battle with cancer. Without being in that position, I don’t believe anyone could ever fully understand how it feels. From my knowledge of my Papa's experience, it was very important to him to be comfortable and feel as little like a patient as possible.
