'The Lost Child' by Hannah Gangel

'The Lost Child' is a contemporary publication influenced by my experience about the loss of my four siblings from a young vulnerable age.

Highlighting emotions through the creative direction of photography and styling within my chapters. I advocate for outlets of grief that will hopefully give a platform to express this shared experience in many people's lives.

‘The Lost Child' was created to open the conversation to a somewhat taboo subject and bring to the attention of loved ones that it is normal to grieve. 'The Journey of Grief' is an extension of 'The Lost Child', creating a stop-motion flipbook that follows the journey of grief through a series of images alluding to the significant loss of a child. The themes explored are emotional and uncomfortable to discuss, but I hope my authentic approach to seeking help through the grieving process will assist others in keeping their loved ones' memories alive.
