'Uncensored' and 'Trigger Warning' by Cheyenne Hay

‘Uncensored’ is a contemporary publication taking the form of a diary exploring how the media is ruining the innocence of children. Throughout the publication we witness multiple experiences that can happen to children while they have unrestricted access to the media such as grooming and eating disorders. ‘Uncensored’ was created to bring discomfort yet open the eyes of those who don’t know how toxic the media can be. ‘Trigger Warning’ is an extension to ‘Uncensored’ by exploring other experiences that can have a negative impact on one’s mental wellbeing through styling and photography.

The themes explored are very dark and uncomfortable, yet I hope that my authentic approach to this topic can resonate with those who have experienced the toxicity of the media first-hand.
