On Campus Partner Events
Throughout the year the Outreach Team partner with a number of external organisations to host large scale outreach events. Some examples of such events include:
RedSTART
Heriot-Watt have been working with financial education charity RedSTART to deliver workshops to primary school pupils. RedSTART have trained a number of Heriot-Watt Outreach Students Ambassadors to help deliver workshops in schools in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. The project specifically targets schools in low-income areas to help pupils learn vital financial literacy. Workshops are delivered in schools to P4 and P6 pupils, while P7 pupils are invited on to the Heriot-Watt Campus, where pupils learn complex financial terms through a series of interactive mini games. Pupils also get to meet university staff and students and take part in a campus tour.
