Radioactive waste storage involves safely containing and managing waste materials that emit radiation.

One of the key future challenges in geoscience is the identification of suitable sites for radioactive waste disposal.

Through experimentation focused on low strength sedimentary rocks, we characterise fractured and intact mudrocks, with a focus on flow, geomechanics and geochemistry.
