Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

CCS is a crucial technology in the fight against climate change, especially for industries that are hard to decarbonise.

CCS is the process of capturing co2 emissions from the atmosphere and storing them underground.

Our geosciences researchers work with industry partners to explore the efficacy of co2 storage in a variety of environments, including hydrocarbon reservoirs, caprock and other water-bearing materials on the earth's surface.
